My Blueberry Nights

In the absence prevously seen a movie produced by Wong-Kar-Wai, and is her first film in English language, I got into this without bias at all. And he left very happy and entertained. Basically this is a true artistic simmer a film about the life, loves, hopes and aspirations of a normal girl, not too special (Elizabeth - played by Norah Jones) and Jeremy (Jude Law).

Judas actually plays a Mancunian lad, with a workshop cake in New York, and plays a northerner like us very well .. good but why always associate us with that pie eaters!

;-). The soundtrack definitely helps the atmosphere (mainly surprisingly major player movies Mrs. Jones …

2 strokes of State for public relations for her here, then!). I would say this is not a normal course of the mill film, and will be a troo little slow for some, but definitely worth the trip if you can stay with him.

The Terminal

You’ve heard of the movie “As Good As It Gets”? - Well here’s the flip side of that. Quite possibly the worst film I’ve seen in this century.

A storyteller for children who have been embarrassed by the shameful story shallow and frankly boring ‘(the term is used advisedly). We saw at first expected, then hope and finally, the prayer was going to improve … but did not. In the end we were praying for it to end.

The Terminal Sickly sweet sentimentality, a ridiculous story and a script written by someone with no sense of shame or conscience (to waste so much time on innocent people), this is film-making and action figures. If I could believe that story was ironic rather than trying to be serious. Shame on you Spielberg and Hanks … you really should know better.

In all honesty, I prefer to be delayed at an airport to see this garbage again condescending.

The Holiday

Usually do not watch romantic comedies, as I tend to find they are not very original - once you’ve seen one that has seen them all! But this was recommended to me by a friend, so I thought I would give it a chance. Also, I’ma big fan of Jack Black!

I must admit I rather liked. The plot is interesting - with the two girls exchange houses and go to opposite sides of the world, and I thought how couples met was pretty funny.

There were a couple of predictable moments, but also a couple of laughs, and overall it was a nice watch.

The Girl Next Door

A little good this movie, but I might prejudice because I think Elisha Cuthbert is quite impressive. This is a big step for her on his part as the daughter of Jack at 24, but it handles well on paper. There are a lot of nudity in this film, but Elisha is some equipment that could be considered very sexy.

I was tempted to let my 10 year old daughter to see this with us, but he cautioned that it is a bit of bad words and the 15 certificate is justified. Cuthbert is not true that things will be better and bigger, but if you ever want to move to the UK he would be happy to find her a house next to mine.

Lost In Translation

This movie is like a dream .. hilarious and thoughtful in equal measures …

Laughter is largely due to Bill Murray just being himself really, and ‘who are’ you do .. do not even have to talk to make me laugh in this film (particular attention to the tread mill episode!) .. warm and beautiful and that is the picture of Lost In Translation Tokyo (with Kevin Shields soundtrack, yes we can not wait) ..

The story is about love and friendship of youth development in a world surrounded by people, however, the characters are very lonely (no one wasted a metaphor for me!) .. I’ve seen this movie many times and always makes me feel very relaxed and very funny …

.. a modern classic

Children Of The Century

The only thing more outrageous than torrid love story French novelist George Sand with the decadent author Alfred de Musset and her affinity for men’s clothes, was the content of his writing. Although sand (also known as the Baroness Dudevant) smoked cigars and transvestites, was the boldness of his writings on such issues as Children Of The Century of abstinence from marriage and the frigidity of the woman who contributed to the scandalous reputation he earned in French literary circles. When she met Alfred de Musset, the most gifted poet of his generation, the two quickly became a celebrity public cause, while his work was going to be some of the finest examples of 19th century romanticism.

Before Sunset

Before Sunset I have mixed feelings about this movie. I went to had not seen before dawn, as he was sent to me first, and I think it’s a little embarrassing.

This film is one long conversation between two people, is shot in real time, and it was not what I expected. But if you know the back story, in advance, and you know it’s more arthouse Hollywood, then you will appreciate that it is very well written, very honest, genuine dialogue between two characters convincingly drawn.

The only flaw in an otherwise authentic portrait was, I felt, her song, but you’ll have to see it to comment on that.

Just Friends

Just Friends Okay, so as a fan of Ryan Reynolds this title was sitting on my list for awhile and when he arrived there was really no hurry to see it. Finally, having nothing better to do I sat down and put it on.

The film is a bit of a slow start, but once it gets going it really does not loosen. There is a species of fish out of water at the same comedy - Reynolds’s character is trying to show his high school best friend / crush has changed for the better (just played better in skating, etc) and not at every step . Anna Faris is incredibly fun in it as the relationship between the main character and his brother.

Julie Hagerty plane is also excellent as the mother of Reynold. There are some really big set pieces and slapstick hilarious dialogue. I have to say though that go with low expectations probably helped a lot, but it’s very, very funny.

The Perfect Man

The Perfect Man He could not remember why he chose this film, was a recommendation from a friend. With Heather Locklear as the mother (Jean Hamilton) by Hilary Duff (Holly) and Aria Wallace (Zoe), the casting director has done an excellent job of compiling a suitable family together.

With a plot similar to ‘Mermaid’, both films have determined that the chemical that appears on the screen when the model ‘gel’ together. While the plot of “The Perfect Man” shuddered at, the film is wonderful sugar, feel-good factor that made it a pleasure to watch.

The cast has worked well in the basic story of two generations to find true love and the comedy worked well on stage. I was impressed by the sincerity shown in the extra bonus features.

It was not intellectually demanding, but left me with a smile at the end. Not a classic, but worth the money.
