Fahrenheit 9/11

Before I watched this movie was not? Ta George Bush fan and I was surprised when he was reelected. However, I do not? I know how many of the issues raised in this documentary was made. I don? I know what balanced reporting was.

I don? I have the time to check each claim. After watching this documentary, I have to keep reminding myself that there are two sides to every story and so it must keep an open mind.

Problem is keeping an open mind, this film was so convincing, that was so powerful and were ready for anything, except to hint and felt really surprised. Astonished that Bush never should have been re-elected by anyone who watched this movie.

I can only imagine that much of it has proven to be garbage. To tell the truth, I? M praying that most of what has proven to be garbage otherwise, this is a testimony damming on the rules governing the developed world, a regime that no one seems to be doing much in change.

As for the characterization of this as a movie, you have to say its very well done, no matter how you look. Yes? S of garbage, a work of fiction, then I just saw a very compelling shocker, with all the excitement of a good horror, even in hours, “continues the bad” for a sequel.

Yes? S all true, if I just saw, nonfiction, documentary based on reality? Then … then? I do not want to think about the consequences that go far beyond where 4 or 5 star award for the ability to see.

Wolf Creek

As mentioned earlier, I am sure that this film cost Australia millions of dollars in lost tourism revenue, especially in remote areas. Fucked if I ever go to a meteor crater from a distance without a backup after watching this. A good thriller / horror that is really scary and almost believable.

They say based on a true story, but nobody saw what happened to the victims, most of history have been formed for the purposes of entertainment. But I can not believe anyone who lives in a vast area on their own may have lost his sanity and all feasibility could not be detected due to anormous area where they have to hide.

Brick

Noir so defined its time that gender is now rarely tries despite the neo noir has given us some really excellent films. Brick is one of them.

In fact it is the best noir since The Last Seduction. Our guide and detective is Brendan upper secondary school trying to figure out who is responsible for the death of his ex-girlfriend.

In its task to be involved in drug trafficking operation of the local chief of “The Pin ‘. I will not say more about the plot, for two reasons, firstly, is extremely complicated and secondly with its many surprises that were found to develop.

Rian Johnson debuts as writer and director, but in both departments the film is so sure it’s incredible that he had never done this before. The script invents its own language, a set of slang words that seem both archaic and cutting edge, and has a vein of dry humor and black as a night south of the Sahara. Johnson also draws fine performances from his young cast.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is fast becoming one of the best young actors in Hollywood and high school age Bogart anchors the film draws us ever more into their world. Brendan is a great character, fiercely intelligent and quick with his fists as a glib uno’lanzarla liner to me if you want, hash head. I have five senses and I slept last night, I put six on the many of you. “) And Gordon Levitt brings him to life in a convincing way.

So good is Lukas Haas as “The Pin”, a local drug lord who has meetings in the house of his mother as she serves milk and cookies. Haas has so far lacked a role that has allowed him to escape from being the kid of witnesses to be an adult actor, what is that role. There is also a strong turn from Nora Zethener as the femme fatale of the story and entertaining supporting role for Matt O Leary as Brendan’s friend ‘brain’.

I was already giving a higher degree of brick before the final scene, but was pushed far above the occult, including Michael Haneke to be my movie of the year so far. First unwravels is a summary that brings together everything we’ve seen, but takes a back seat to the final turn, which feels like a punch in the solar plexus. So in short, any YEG film that is absolutely must not heel the stage until he has seen Brick.

Chronos

From the filmmaker who worked on the masterpiece of Reggio Koyaanisqatsi, Chronos is actually a very similar film, who was assassinated a few years later - in the middle of the 1980s. Director - Ron Fricke - also was in the movie “Baraka” - and worked with composer Michael Stearns in these two incredible Chronos projects.

Being a good bit shorter than I guess you could say that Chronos is more accessible than Koyaanisqatsi, but I would say that the duration and accumulation of the previous film is the key to his power. If you enjoyed the “Qatsi Trilogy’then you’re sure to enjoy this fact-Imax screens GEM - highly recommended!

Fahrenheit 9/11

Fahrenheit 9/11 Good to see things we have always suspected (on the Florida election false, irrational bombing of Afghanistan, the relationship between the Iraq war and oil, etc.) presented in a way so clear. This film does not come across as a set of conspiracy theories, but as a hard fact - and there were some very revealing new (for me) pictures here. It is unusual for a film to be nonfiction, but everyone should see this and think about it.

Aside from a woman who seemed more dramatic fantasy herself as an actress and seem a little too often, the rest of the film was dispassionate and objective.

Pickup On South Street

Tight, tense thriller with little mad within the United States. The Communists are the villains, not our hero to a petty thief, but not so damaged that he feels morally superior to the Reds. Richard Widmark is better when you smile and makes a lot of that in this film.

The real heroes, however, are the Pickup On South Street Women - Jean Peters and Thelma Ritter - who are really suffering from it. One scene in particular, the brutal beating that Peters was actually beaten and obviously not using a substitute. The film is weakened by a disappointing end simplistic, but there is plenty to keep you happy in the last 89 minutes.

Brick

Director Rian Johnson has formed a new sub-genre with this film. He takes the standard teen drama of revenge high school, is injected through the eyeball with the coup, said William Burroughs and James Ellroy to it. There is a simplicity of direction that makes this story even more scarce, in fact, most settings Brick in this film seems to be completely deserted save for the main characters.

Working against this, however, is dotted with some dialogue and teenspeak both criminal / drug slang that is virtually incomprehensible at times. Most watchable, and any movie that ends with ‘Sister Ray’ by The Velvet Underground automatically gets 5 stars in my book.
