The Life And Death Of Peter Sellers

Geoffrey Rush plays Peter Sellers in a film that chronicles his rise from radio star in the Goon Show to Oscar nominated Hollywood star. Rush is particularly good as Sellars TNote maanging just to play the man himself, but many of the characters on screen, that is a feat in iteslf.

Rush also The Life And Death Of Peter Sellers Sellars manages to make a person seem deeply troubled and confused, only able to identify him through his characters, not the man himself. However, some of the writing of the script does not comply with the performance of Rush, and many of the excellent supporting actors are largely lost and adrift at the bottom.

Dogville

I did not know how to make this film. I told the story of another person and thought the story sounded good, so I get to see yet what I saw was completely different to what I thought.

This is not a movie, it’s a game. Everything is filmed in a warehouse with chalk lines on the floor of the store, marking the houses ect …

I did it for the pleasure of starting this film, but in 10 minutes I was bored. I do not think that was the fact that it was a play I think it was just too slow.

I do not recommend this.

Once

I liked this movie, although I must add that I am not a person epic action film, which may explain why I enjoyed so much! It begins with a very funny scene set in Dublin, where a busker is trying to protect a drunken thief.

The story is simple but the depth of the performance is very sound and wholesome, which almost could be a fly-on-the-wall on a true story. This is a ‘musical‘, but not in rational sense of music - the street musician and the girl, begins a budding friendship with the creation of music, and I must say that it is very good - I’m even thinking about buying the soundtrack!

Apocalypto

Mel Gibson doesn’t exactly make peace, film flower right?? First was the brutal and visually powerful Christ’s Passion and self-addressed dark, bold and a taste for the torn flesh, the film was by far the most bloody, violent and sadistic of the final version of Christs hours I have ever seen. Apocalypto follows in the same vain.

The entire film is shot in the same frentic pace the opening minutes of Saving Private Ryan twney. Jaguar Paw unenvable has the task of bringing the controversial Mel Gibson movie on his shoulders, which somehow manages to simultaneously make the audience feel sorry for him and his predicament. A good film in general …

However, too much sense running through jungles for my taste!

Alpha Dog

Alpha Dog Never let ‘negative’ comments to influence my decision to watch a movie and this was split 50-50 …. you either love or hate. If you really love and admire the art of cinema and the ability to act and the gift of storytelling, then this is for you. Powerful, compelling and totally absorbing from the first scene until the credits roll … this film stay with you long after.

In fact, I just ordered the DVD, so I can taste again! Superb performances from the cast … and yes, Justin Timberlake can act.

See it in ‘Black Snake Moan’ if you are skeptical. Sharon Stone image of a distraught and grieving mother is Oscar-worthy, Bruce Willis, even a cameo, it is also superior first class.

the fact that this is based on a true story makes it even more fascinating and ultimately horrifying. I loved this film immensely … his clever and never lets you take your eyes off the screen … So many talented young players here … Incredible! I can only give this my highest praise uncle … You will not be dissapointed.

Rules Of Attraction

This movie could have been a great movie, but unfortunately I made some serious mistakes. such as suicide everything (it was not funny or entertaining), things do not work backwards really well for me, the fact that Paul was so in love with Sean who wept as Rules Of Attraction a baby when he was told to get lost.otherwise i do not enjoy this movie, but in general only things people really did not seem a bit exaggerated.

but there was much better and funnier than American Pie 3 for example. I particularly liked the introduction of several main characters.

Swimfan

Swimfan I’d hate to spoil a movie for someone, but the creators of this movie spoiled for me … ie Swimfan.

The trailer seems to be a teenager predecible’Thriller garbage ‘. That said, was influenced by other critical viewers who said it was “… a little twist in the road.”

As it turns out … start thinking it will be boring … and the great innovation … is … is boring. If you want a thriller (Fanatic that is ostensibly based on), rental of ‘Fatal Attraction’ uber-or try to disrupt “The Shining” (although this is actually much more disturbing) … if you want a teen movie (Daft snowboard with Lee Majors ‘6 million Man ‘) car “Out Cold”. I have yet to find a good real ‘teen-thriller, but I’m still open to ideas.

Ae Fond Kiss

Ae Fond Kiss We are always drawn to films set in Scotland, particularly Glasgow and this was no different. The surroundings were sometimes more impressive than the quality that sometimes far above Taggart actors’ delivery of wood!

However, he felt like a genuine and sincere attempt to address religious and cultural differences in theSouthside diverse community in Glasgow and the Irish Catholic Church and Muslim issues that Pakistan was more interesting than the sectarian Protestant / Catholic, to be divide more often emphasized that plagues the city. I am sure that all the young actors of the movie will have the opportunity to improve their skills in more films - if you can go ‘global’ is another question?

Thomas And The Magic Railroad

As a child of 5, my son Thomas was a crackpot. We have the complete collection of original stories (which I’ve read several times) and many well-worn tape of the show let alone a full set of Brio wooden trains (before some other company started making them). I’ve enjoyed most of the stories, especially the intelligent and Thomas And The Magic Railroad soberly that trains interact.

But I found this film to be quite horrible. Besides being treacly excrutiatingly and slow movement, which has little relation to the original story.

Dozens of new characters are introduced and new trains are violently stupid or malicious. I was very relieved that my son did not want to see more than once.
