Lawless Heart

Three men who have led quite different lives come together for the funeral of a mutual friend in this second feature by writing the address of team Neil Hunter and Tom Hunsinger (boyfriends). Stuart’s accidental death leads his brother in law, her boyfriend and his best friend to reconsider some of the choices they have made in their lives and in some cases, gives them the courage to try things they have never tried before. Stuart’s brother-in-law Dan (Bill Nighy), is a loyal father and a faithful husband to Judy (Ellie Haddington), which is suddenly tempted by Lawless Heart exotic foreigners (Clementine CelariĆ©).

After the death of her lover Stuart, restaurateur Nick (Tom Hollander) is forced to confront his emotions when he is drawn to a woman (Sukie Smith). Carefree wanderer Tim (Douglas Henshall) faces an adult for the first time when he falls for a local girl (Josephine Butler).

Told in three sections, from the perspective of each of the three main characters, the modern novel is a notable aspect of how life can be delicately intertwined and how the simple act of a single person can affect many others.

Spaced

Having rented the second series of ‘Spaced’ for a week and see again and again, I can say it all over me in a delightful way that I’m still buzzing. This stuff is smart!

The music is exceptional and original triphoppy. The references are extremely postmodern endlessly enjoyable. But what really begins in these seven episodes is little that the two main protagonists, Daisy and Tim, you really can act.

Besides everyone loves each other (something like the Osbournes)! As adults, not all characters need each other to validate their lifestyle aspirants.

Watching this great series has even helped validate my own lifestyle aspirant. Yay for Spaced! But where is my “Shaun of the Dead” DVD due to arrive? …

The Terminal

You’ve heard of the movie “As Good As It Gets”? - Well here’s the flip side of that. Quite possibly the worst film I’ve seen in this century.

A storyteller for children who have been embarrassed by the shameful story shallow and frankly boring ‘(the term is used advisedly). We saw at first expected, then hope and finally, the prayer was going to improve … but did not. In the end we were praying for it to end.

The Terminal Sickly sweet sentimentality, a ridiculous story and a script written by someone with no sense of shame or conscience (to waste so much time on innocent people), this is film-making and action figures. If I could believe that story was ironic rather than trying to be serious. Shame on you Spielberg and Hanks … you really should know better.

In all honesty, I prefer to be delayed at an airport to see this garbage again condescending.

National Lampoon’s Dorm Daze

Let’s see what is wrong with this. From the trailer and the packaging that you would think that it was a teen sex comedy American Pie or less in Porki tradition.

This would make their first of 2 errors, while meant to be based teen-centered convinently a gender perspective multi-ethnic halls of residence sex here is minimal (2 topless scenes so fake breast big blonde hair big with the sex appeal of a Barbie doll with a boob job and 1 confused with sex scene they decide to show two times a minute for no good reason) and comedy, so it is esentially a farce in 1950, style with people who are wrong for each other, getting letters mixed, multiple handbags exchanged and re-exchanged blah, blah, blah, yawn, yawn, yawn. These devices stale comic where 40 years ago and this film does nothing to make them fresh.

The large number and repetition of these elements leads only to boredem farce, and finally upset the predictability of the movie If you see a car comedy farce Noises Off at least tried to be more creative with the genre, if you want a teen sex comedy American Pie to try if you want a chemical response to either hire insomnia Dorm Daze. That this came from the stability of the National Lampoon is perhaps the greatest tragedy and shows how far we have fallen.

Steve-O - The Early Years

The full title of this DVD is Thin Lizzy The Boys Are Back in Town. It was filmed outside the Sydney Opera House, Australia, face a massive audience.I bought this video on VHS years ago and I was very disappointed when I first saw him. The image quality is poor.

It s very grain and the colors look a bit faded. The sound is even worse - it sounds as if an audience member recorded it with a tape recorder.

The image quality and sound are a little better on this DVD, but still well short of modern standards of concert DVD. Overall, the video production is Steve-O - The Early Years very amateurish. The performance is good. It s the classic Lizzy line Gorham, Robertson and Downey.

Gary Moore has replaced Robertson and Downey had been replaced by another drummer, whose name escapes me at the moment. The video is short of 45 minutes duration and a lot of big issues Lizzy missing.

In addition, the concert takes place during the day so it s not real atmosphere due to the lack of a visible light show. If you are a die-hard fan Lizzy d probably you want to get this because there are so few available Lizzy concert videos. If you’re a casual fan would give this a bug Lizzy.

Me, Myself And Irene

Me, Myself And Irene Just when you thought it was safe to watch a Jim Carey, this piece a pure compound film raises its ugly head. Carey was always (in his youth) no more than one dimension, but at least it was fun, or you could shrink for him if not laugh with or against him.

This film however is nothing less than a piece of garbage boring nonsense. If this is Carey grown hope all managers soon realize they have no need of his dual personality clumsy m -idiot/look-at-me-I ineffective ‘more crazy character.

If anyone needs to see this kind of thing is done correctly, without having to resort to innuendo sewage and worse, see Jerry Lewis.

Peter’s Friends

I read the criticism, accusing the film and the actors of being guilty of nothing more than demonstrate the ability to be luvvies and make a boring movie car right. It is no worse than some of the blockbusters of poor quality that our cinemas are full of.

Perhaps the fact that these people are educated and choose not to please the demands of film viewers with shorter attention a bit annoying? Not the best film ever made and most actors have done better, let’s face it, even great like Hopkins, De Niro and Pacino to name a mediocre play, but few have produced. Peter’s Friends is watchable and Ken Branagh is not as funny as the recovering alcoholic and jokes.

If we’re lucky we all have friends, even if they have family, they see us through the bad and the good times and this is the final message of the film. As one critic said also that what is not there to like about Stephen Fry?

Legally Blonde 2: Red, White And Blonde

We will be happy to see Reese Witherspoon boring. Actually that’s what watching this film was like. The manufacturers had all the ingredients for a funny movie, but someone forgot the recipe.

In the first movie, the plot was about Reese’s character and how it has changed in the search for love and identity and I applauded and laughed the whole way. This book is about how you have to convince politicians to change the law to Legally Blonde 2: Red, White And Blonde prohibition of vivisection to save animals in general and the birth of the mother of her pet dog in particular.

But I could not care less. Take a moment to listen to the DVD commentary hilarious terrible it was narrated by three of the characters who knew nothing of the film, apart from the bits in

All I wanted was more of the same from the first film. Oh well, at least I have to see Reese.

Harold And Kumar Get The Munchies

Harold And Kumar Get The Munchies This silly concepts must appeal only to a certain demographic of students Stoner. However, its unique charm and wit won warm despite that I am the wrong side of 30. As in most of the ‘road movies spent a night “of this type of paper-thin plot is just an excuse to string together a mixture of absurd scenarios and cheap laughs together.

But the mood is far from being lazy, the results of the two leading comic display natural gifts and the cameos are pitch perfect for Askew world view, the two dudes live. I wont ruin any of the gags.

And I do not play the race card as an element of force or the appeal movies. Two fun characters, some hilarious situations and a quest that everyone can relate. More fun than expected.
